breakfast favorite

This was a breakfast staple growing up. I have no idea if it's a traditional Taiwanese breakfast, or if my mom just made it up, but it's really yummy.

soy sauce egg
It's basically an over-easy egg with sugar and soy sauce. The procedure goes thusly: After you've flipped the egg, sprinkle about 1/2 tsp of sugar on top, and drizzle some soy sauce over it. Let the soy sauce bubble a bit, and after the egg is your preferred doneness, remove from the pan and enjoy.

egg pants!

This is a classic case of "one for them, one for me" Christmas shopping. I saw these online, and had to buy a bunch for Christmas gifts, including myself in that list.

tin soldiers
I have a great fondness for soft-boiled eggs, so it's a wonder that I haven't bought egg cups before this.

more eggs and muffins

I feel like I'm starting to repeat myself. I guess we've been low on time recently, so our meals have been simpler.

poached egg, salami, and english muffin
I was in the mood for something other than cereal for breakfast, and this seemed simple enough. We had some salami in the fridge, so I used it as a bowl to catch the burst egg yolk.
